The Northern Territory Government provides a stamp duty Principal Place of Residence Rebate (PPRR) of up to $7000 off the stamp duty payable to persons purchasing a new home or land on which to build a home.
A new home is a home that has never been previously lived in or sold as a place or residence. Substantially renovated homes may be considered as a new home for the purpose of the PPRR.
